Reasons For Low Pressure Alarm Of Industrial Chiller

During the operation of the chiller, due to mechanical wear or other reasons, the copper pipe or other parts are damaged, and the refrigerant leaks, resulting in a low-pressure alarm. This situation will be displayed directly on the refrigerant pressure gauge. It is only necessary to refill the refrigerant after the leak is not leaked.

What are the reasons for the low pressure alarm of industrial chillers? How to solve it?

First, the refrigerant refrigerant circulation system leaks

During the operation of the chiller, due to mechanical wear or other reasons, the copper pipe or other parts are damaged, and the refrigerant leaks, resulting in a low-pressure alarm. This situation will be displayed directly on the refrigerant pressure gauge. It is only necessary to refill the refrigerant after the leak is not leaked.

Second, the freezer condenser cooling temperature is too low

The condenser cooling temperature is too low, causing the temperature of the refrigerant entering the evaporator to be low and not completely evaporating. This situation usually occurs when the ambient temperature in winter is low. The water-cooled chiller will also be generated when the cooling tower outlet temperature is too low. This situation can generally be eliminated with the intervention of the throttling device, but when the unit is under low load, the throttle device has a small opening degree, if the condenser This happens when the internal refrigerant temperature is low.

The operation of the industrial chiller for a long time under the condition that the temperature of the cooling water is low (the evaporator pressure is low) also causes the refrigerating oil to enter the evaporator, resulting in a decrease in cooling efficiency. Because the oil does not blend into the refrigerant when the oil temperature is above 65 °C, the temperature of the refrigeration oil will decrease when the evaporator pressure is low and cannot be completely evaporated. The refrigerant will not be discharged as the refrigerant enters the evaporator. To avoid this situation, try not to make the cooling water temperature too low. In winter, the cooling water temperature should not be lower than 27 °C. If the temperature is too low, the cooling water flow rate can be adjusted to promote the complete evaporation of the refrigerant in the evaporator.

Third, the freezer evaporation temperature is too low

The temperature of the inlet and outlet water of the industrial chiller evaporator is too low, resulting in incomplete evaporation of the refrigerant, resulting in low evaporator pressure. This situation occurs when the load on the freezer is low, because the low temperature of the chilled water in and out of the water causes the amount of cold that can be taken away to decrease, so that the refrigerant cannot be completely vaporized and the evaporator pressure is low. There are several solutions to this situation:

1. Stop, the refrigerating pump continues to run for a period of time, let the chilled water take away the refrigerant cooling capacity, and switch a unit with a small cooling capacity.

2. Adjust the throttling device to reduce the refrigerant entering the evaporator and let the refrigerant completely vaporize. (If there is a backup machine, it is best not to do so. If the control is not good, there may be a problem of high condenser pressure).
