Analysis of the cause of coke coking in screw air compressor: After the long-term practice, Nod Jiacheng compressor produces coke and grease on the screw pump, suction end, cooler, oil pipe and gas valve. And the reasons for coking are as follows:

(1) The air compressor is used in a poor environment, and the intake air is too dirty to mix with the organic matter in the oil to form an oil coke. In addition, the oxidative catalysis of condensed water and metal, moisture and metal are catalysts for the oxidation of lubricating oil, and both of them have a significant acceleration effect on the oxidation of oil.

(2) The oil scale forms carbon residue at high temperature. Temperature is the main factor causing oxidation of oil. When the temperature is increased by 10 °C, the oxidation rate is doubled. When the compressor is running, the compressor oil not only needs to absorb the friction heat of the machine, but also absorb the compression heat generated by the compressed gas. Therefore, the compressor oil is operated at a high temperature for a long time. In the screw type air compressor unit, the lubricating oil is substantially in the form of a mist before entering the compression chamber until the separator is separated from the compressed gas, the surface area thereof is greatly increased, and the hot compressed gas is sufficiently mixed, and the temperature rises rapidly.

(3) In the screw type air compressor, the lubricating oil is repeatedly subjected to heating and cooling, so that it is easily aged and deteriorated, and finally carbon residue is generated.

(4) The screw type air compressor oil is of poor quality or mixed with different oils. The physical and chemical analysis of the special oil is that the base oil is mineral oil, and the main components are alkanes, cycloalkanes, aromatic hydrocarbons, etc., and contain a very small amount of nitrogen, sulfur and oxygen compounds. Hydrocarbons at temperatures above 100 ° C, especially with metal contact, have reduced oxidation resistance, easily form oxides and fatty products, and further shrink to gums, cyanates, and the like. These products are mixed with mechanical impurities in the suction gas and metal grinding chips in the compressor, deposited on the surface of the machine, and further heated to form coke. Due to the special working conditions of the screw compressor, the mineral-type special oil inevitably exhibits oxidation and carbon deposition.

(5) Too much or too little oil contributes to the formation of coke. Excessive lubricating oil will increase the chance of oxidation and carbon deposition reaction, while too little oil will make the oil temperature not effectively cool and accelerate oxidation and carbon deposition.

(6) The exhaust gas temperature is too high and the oil in it may cause carbon deposits on the gas valve.

So how can we avoid and deal with the various reasons that are easy to form coke and coke in screw air compressors?

In short, it is a sentence: the standard use of screw air compressors, maintenance work on time, regular inspection of air compressors, the use of professional air compressor oil, do not mix different oils.
