As a kind of detection device, most of the instruments need to be: up to the 4th of the moon landing, down to the mobile phone of a hand, almost inseparable from life. Of course, in many industrial machines, sensors also occupy a place, including air compressors that are well known in the industry, and sensors.
So what does the sensor in the air compressor do?
The actual duty of the compressor during the work is to increase the pressure and raise the suction pressure state to the exhaust pressure state. The compression ratio is a technical representation of the pressure difference, which means the absolute pressure on the high pressure side divided by the absolute pressure on the low pressure side. The compression ratio must be calculated using absolute pressure values. In order to avoid negative values in the calculated compression ratio, absolute pressure must be used instead of gauge pressure when calculating the pressure ratio. It makes sense to use absolute pressure values to make the compression ratio a positive value.
Below we will specifically understand the application of pressure sensors in industrial air compressors.
The pressure in a typical industrial air compressor ranges from 2 hp to 10,000 hp. Air compressors are mainly used in pneumatic control, execution, injection equipment, pneumatic tools, air discharge operations and other applications. Common air compressors typically operate at 125 psi (about 8.6 atmospheres) and gas flow rates from 1 CFM to 15,000 CFM. When air containing impurities or contaminants passes through the compressor, the efficiency of the air compressor is greatly reduced and its useful life is reduced. To this end, general manufacturers will install separation/filtration equipment to remove dirt, moisture and oil from the air. As the adsorption equipment adsorbs more pollutants, the filtered gas pressure drop will become larger and larger. Therefore, it is necessary to monitor the pressure drop of the gas using a pressure sensor. When the pressure drop of the gas reaches 10 psi, the pressure sensor can trigger an alarm system in the circuit to notify the operator to clean or replace the filter device in time. The pressure drop of the gas is affected by various factors such as the use environment, the length of time the filter is used, and the amount of filtered air.
A wide range of pressure sensors can be used in industrial grade air compressors and can be connected to virtually any microcontroller with a simple communication protocol that eliminates the need to program internal registers in the device. A gel-protected and anti-magnetic stainless steel cap protects the pressure chip. Can be widely used in smartphones, tablets, personal navigation devices, tire pressure gauges.
